Through an IAPG invitation, the GAPP was present at the activities that the institute organized in Canada and the United States, around the end of April, commemorating this way one hundred years of petroleum activity in Argentina.

The events took place on April 24th, in Calgary, Canada; where was received an important collaboration from the Consulate in Toronto, represented by its Commercial Attaché, Mr. Alfredo Bascou, while on April 26th, was Houston time, where the organization was backed up by the IAPG Houston (www.iapghouston.org), represented by the Engineer Claudio Manzolillo.



The GAPP delegation was quite big; it was headed by Mr. Marcos Montefiore, group’s President. The members that participated were: ETA; FAVRA; TECNA; TULSA OILFIELD EQUPMENTS; TECNOAISLANTES; ENGINTECH and LAIKEN. On both events, in Calgary as well as in Houston, several introductions were made to petroleum industry managers and Official Entities from those countries regarding the activity in Argentina.

The GAPP, through its President, Mr. Marcos Montefiore, had the task of explaining the way the argentine SMEs influence on the activity’s production chain.





Argentine products were exhibited on both days, and the GAPP had its own booth, representing its twenty six members. Important and different contacts were achieved with representatives of different organisms, operative companies, services and equipment companies from both countries to check on commercial opportunities and to reach agreements about Know-How transference.



Most of the GAPP delegation stayed in Houston to assist to the OTC, the biggest event world wide level related to the petroleum industry, during which all the presents got the chance to up date regarding technological developments applied to the industry, and got to commercial contacts of high potential.
