During the month of June, the GAPP carried out an exploratory technical mission to Canada, composed by a delegation of 3 companies in representation of the group. They were Motomec‡nica, Tulsa and Tassaroli.

In this opportunity they were accompanied by the Counselor Alfredo Bascou, responsible for commercial themes of the Argentine Consulate in Toronto and they included the strategic support of the offices of Tenaris in said country.

The objectives of the mission were to know the technological horizon of the activity, in one of the most innovative markets in this matter at global level. During the mission was visited the Global Petroleum Show of Calgary, the greater exposition of Canada, whith the idea to establish bonds with several companies on know how transfer agreements.

Another of the outstanding points was the visit at Alberta Research Council, dedicated to the technological innovation relating to the production and security in the petroleum industry. A bridge of contacts with the IAPG was established related to training. They also maintained meetings and visits to the Petroleum Services Assn. of Canada (www.psac.ca) an association of companies related to the industry of gas and petroleum, similar in certain aspects to GAPP; and the Canadian Heavy Oil Association - CHOA - (www.choa.ab.ca) that acts as intercompanies forum for the disclosure and discussion of technical aspects of the industry.

Finally, petroleum equipment companies were visited in Edmonton, central industrial city of the activity.
